I have always been interested in being a bit of a cultural bridge, and help different types of people understand each other. When I was in college I wanted to be the next Margaret Mead. Now I find I sort of am, though with a twist. A Rachel Maddow meets Suze Ormand meets Dr. Phil sort of a twist. Oh, and don’t forget Joseph Campbell. |
For a lot of years, whenever I would speak publicly, when I got to the Q & A section, people would always ask me a lot questions about astrological interpretations of politicians, political issues and elections. Regardless of the topic I had been speaking on. And for a lot of years I didn’t want to talk about it. At all. I just didn’t want to set foot in this arena, largely because I already take enough flak - especially from certain sectors - even when I am not saying anything controversial. And when I finally did say something, I got myself in a bit of trouble.
So lately I have been more particular. And conscientious. Especially when I am saying anything substantive. The Carpinteria Coastal View News writing gig has taught me a lot. What I am finding is the questions come faster and harder. Especially now.
These days I am invariably getting a lot more people asking me astrological questions about world politics and economics, and especially about the 2008 American Presidential Elections. Some of you may think that a little strange, but for those of you who do, I would respectfully remind you that astrology has long been the mistress of politics. Since it’s inception. |

Yes, astrology was the first religion and the first science. From it’s beginnings thousands of years ago to our futuristic science fiction stories - and everything in between - there always seems to be some sage oracle standing behind great leaders of the world. |
| So what is that mean for us today? Well aren’t we all just trying to figure all that out! People keep asking me for this information, and I would be a fool not to at least try to be responsive, so here we go. Just promise me if you smell smoke you will check to make sure it’s not me being burned at the stake. The topics listed on the left are just some of the ways and places we can use the best lessons and practices of history and astrology to help determine a course of action today. |
