Mercury Retrogrades in Pisces & Aquarius

Well, it's here. The first Mercury Retrograde of 2007 began on a very interesting date. February 13th. Yeah, I know. Just in time for Valentines' Day. I warned you. Ever the trickster, that Mercury. The King of Coyote Energy. Like the gophers in Caddyshack, you just never know where he is going to rear his little head to laugh at you next.

Factor in the emotional neediness of Pisces and the ever-unpredictable nature of Aquarius and you could find yourself experiencing all sorts of interesting love - related surprises, and doing all sorts of wild and crazy things in the name of Eros. So right off the top I would say to those of you on any sort of dating service (especially e-dating, as Aquarius rules electronics, computers and technology) to just give it a rest for a few weeks. You aren't going to meet your soul mate in a retrograde. A psychotic felon, yes. A loving and dynamic life partner, no.
And for those of you in any sort of relationship, keep things between you really, really light right now. Seriously. There is just no need to borrow trouble. Especially if that relationship is either not particularly stable to begin with, or once was but has hit some turbulence of late. And if either one of you has very much in Pisces or Aquarius in your natal charts, you, well, this is going to take you to places you've heard about but were hoping not to see in this lifetime. If you both do, just cut to the chase and call me. We'll figure it out.

Re-Directing the Retrograde Energy

Ever since the 1960’s, the human intuition has been an increasingly popular topic. But it hit a fever pitch in the early 1990's with the publication of James Redfield’s The Celestine Prophecy. Since then, that interest has been fueled and furthered by movies like The Sixth Sense and by television shows like Millennium, Profiler, Medium, Crossing Over, and even The Pet Psychic.

In the last six months or so, since Neptune has been opposing Saturn, I have had an increasing number of people either asking about it initially or pestering me to do a class on it, which tells me that there is a need. So here we go.

Because the Retrogrades of Mercury are such a good time to explore yourself and your spirituality, now seems like a good time. In this class we will explore basic definitions and manifestations of the intuition in history, how it occurs for you, and go over basic drills and exercises to increase your native ability.

These classes are a really good way to re-orient yourself to and re-align yourself with the retrograde energy. Right now, I think the most important thing to remember about Mercury Retrogrades in general is that the energy flow in the day-to-day of your life is just different. The emotional content changes. There is more irrationality, more confusion, more panic, and more spastic knee-jerk responses. During Mercury's Retrogrades you really have to listen more, to observe more, to be more detached and divested. And have an absolutely massive sense of humor.

People who can't do this are usually - but not always - the ones who are having the hardest time during these retrogrades. As a result, these retrogrades are a time when lots of folks really bottom out on things and seek change. It is a time of epiphanies and breakthroughs. It is also a time of transitions, in particular the death transition. A lot of people and pets choose to go during this time.
